Launched by three friends whose friendship began in Leeds many years ago, along with a wealth of bartenders who have a love for cocktails, the venue is a staple on any drink connoisseur’s cocktail bar list.
“Hedonist have spent the last year exploring the globe through a series of travel guides, featuring carefully curated cocktails and exotic favours from around the world all from the comfort of their own home 156 Briggate, Leeds,” says the bar’s website.
Originally launched as a pop up, the venue has grown from strength to strength since 2015 and has a had a range of concepts. However, after three years of opening, the owners honed what it was they wanted their bar to be and that’s what Hedonist is now.
It is a friendly and eclectic venue with lots going on and plays host to the colourful makeup of Leeds city.
On the menu, notable cocktails have included the Rhubarb Sour, made using Finland Vodka, rhubarb, Aperol and lemon; the Maroon 5.1, made with Woodford Reserve, Cocchi American, spiced pear and maple; and the Sky Blue Pink, made with Fino Sherry, Cocchi Rosa, Benedictine, raspberries, lemon and peach.
A strong selection of wines and beers are also available, while the bar also promotes a series of specially paired gin and tonics
