Liverpool’s Bar Glue is nestled in a quiet corner at Anchor Courtyard at the iconic Albert Dock.

The bar puts service at the centre of its ethos with its website highlighting: “Our passion is in community, engagement, impeccable service and delicious drinks, which is exactly what Bar Glue focuses on.”

Bar Glue co-owners Mike Bower and Nathan Price, were managers at the previous bar on the site - the Burnt Milk Hotel - but always had a desire to develop their own operation. When the venue became available, they decided to take the plunge, opening the new bar in August 2024.

On launching, Price told the Liverpool Echo: "When Mike and I began working together at Burnt Milk Hotel we really started to put the work in and began developing a brand, image and goal of what we wanted to achieve and when.

And it didn’t take long before the brand received a raft of critical acclaims for its approach and service.

Bar Glue can accommodate up to 30 people inside with the option for visitors to spill out into the Anchor Courtyard during the warmer weather.

It has become a popular destination that offers an 11-strong bespoke cocktail menu, with highlights including Happy Meal, A Fox in the Outback and Mechanical Bull. Customers can also go off-menu with much-loved classics or opt for signature concoctions with an imaginative twist.

It regularly holds events, takeovers, tastings and pop-ups. Bar Glue also teams up with drink experts and bars from across the globe. Customers can experience different flavours and learn from some of the most knowledgeable mixologists in the industry with these exclusive collaborations.
