The Natural Philosopher in Hackney calls itself “East London's hidden gem since 2014.”
The bar is situated through the door of The MacSmiths Mac repair shop at 489 Hackney Road. Customers can walk through the door and ring the doorbell at the top of the steps.
They then step into the world of The Natural Philosopher, where they are invited to partake in an immersive cocktail journey.
Each of its drinks are created with a blend of quality spirits, fresh ingredients, and unexpected botanicals sourced from across the UK.
The crafted menu features 12 foraged cocktails created using an array of British ingredients that it has foraged from around East London or using local foragers.
It also boasts signature cocktails, Picklebacks and a classic cocktail range.
There is a small snack list of truffle & pecorino mixed nuts, and nocellara olives. But the venue also partners with the Yard Sale Pizza who will deliver pizza to the bar minus the delivery fee with a special code.
