If you are looking for an intimate cocktail bar inspired by the cosy and immersive atmosphere of Japanese listening rooms from the 1950s then Nipperkin is the answer.

Situated below the Japanese restaurant NIJŪ in Mayfair and tucked away just off London’s Berkeley Square this relaxed hideaway offers an exciting range of cocktails for the discerning consumer.

The drinks programme is curated by award-winning mixologist Angelos Bafas with the innovative and exciting cocktails crafted around four seasons: Prep, Lean, Plethora, and Dry.

Each season is designed to highlight the finest local, seasonal ingredients, setting it apart with its innovative approach to blending these with Japanese spirits and sake.

Nipperkin says it embodies the spirit of Omotenashi, the Japanese philosophy of heartfelt hospitality and every drink is served with meticulous care and attention to ensure an exceptional experience.

Cocktails include Bramley Apples & Meadowsweet made with The Macallan double cask 12-year-old, foraged meadowsweet, bramley apple cordial, dry cider and wild apple soda along with sundried tomatoes & chilies with Lost Explorer tequila & mezcal, sundried tomatoes, Nipperkin’s tomato liqueur, Scottish chilies and preserved apricots.

In addition to the cocktails, customers can also enjoy a selection of bar snacks from NIJŪ, plus a range of no- and low-alcoholic options and a variety of soft drinks, from classic sodas to coveted kombuchas.

The bar has vintage records on display where customers can experience an authentic ambience, bringing music and drinks together in a relaxed environment.

Nipperkin, along with NIJŪ, is part of the Creative Restaurant Group.
