Bar Kinky is an intimate cocktail bar situated downstairs from Kinkally, a Georgian restaurant specialising in traditional Georgian dumplings with a twist.
The bar is a copper vaulted room which only has space for half a dozen people around its central island bar.
The cocktail menu is awash with inventive concoctions and interesting ingredients. These include ingredients such as beetroot, peanuts, lavender, porcini mushrooms, to blue cheese.
Cocktails include the Diva, made with East London Vodka, beetroot, walnut, and blue cheese; Twist, with East London Vodka, raspberry, buckwheat, vanilla, ginger and the Vision, made with Kinahan’s Kask Project Whiskey, basil, coconut, horchata, and milk tea.
Virgin cocktails are also on the menu for those non-drinking customers who able to enjoy the Penicillin with non-alcoholic whisky, ginger, honey, lemon and the Mai Tai with non-alcoholic rum, lemon, orange and almond.
Timeout describes the bar as a “sultrily-lit subterranean bar” where the team “shake, swirl, rattle and pour” the cocktails. It said: “This place is definitely worth a pitstop.”
